About this award The Digital Trust Advocate of the Year honours an individual or an organisation demonstrating exceptional commitment to promoting digital trust. It celebrates efforts in cybersecurity, privacy, ethical technology and transparency, while fostering Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA). It recognises impactful initiatives, leadership and advocacy that inspire and drive secure, ethical and inclusive digital practices across industries and communities. Who may apply Individuals, companies, organisations or associations. Submissions on behalf of an organisation must be authorised by a representative with the appropriate level of authority. What the judges assess - Advocacy and leadership: the nominee's efforts to advocate for digital trust, with specific examples of advocacy initiatives, public campaigns or thought leadership, and the areas of digital trust focused on - cybersecurity, privacy, ethical technology, transparency and DEIA. - Impact: the measurable impact of the advocacy - increased awareness, policy change, or adoption of best practice - and evidence of improvements to cybersecurity, privacy or transparency in the digital ecosystem, including contributions to fostering DEIA. - Innovation and creativity: innovative approaches used to advocate for digital trust, and the challenges addressed and overcome. - Collaboration and community engagement: partnerships and collaborative initiatives with other organisations or communities, and how the nominee has inspired or empowered others to prioritise digital trust. - Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility: specific actions taken to ensure inclusivity and accessibility, and how challenges related to DEIA in the digital space have been addressed. - Awards and recognition: independent recognition of the nominee's work. Evidence Applicants attach supporting materials such as presentations, articles, media coverage or testimonials. Detailed responses should be specific and concrete; generalised answers generated by AI engines are not considered.
